CHINA POWER CRUNCH

A growing power supply crunch in China is triggering blackouts for households and forcing factories to cut production, threatening to slow the country’s vast economy and place even more strain on global supply chains. Companies in the country’s industrial heartlands have been told to limit their energy consumption in order to reduce demand for power, state media has reported. And supply has been cut to some homes, reportedly even trapping people in elevators.

3.CURSE OF VASISHTAR AND GANGADEVI LEAVES CHANDHANU

Chandhanu was really worried and scared about her behaviour but this time he stopped her and questioned. Chandhanu asked about her birth and also the reason for killing their children. Since he questioned her, Chandhanu broke the promise that was done during the marriage. Gangadevi said that she won’t live with him anymore and also she won’t kill the last son. She revealed her identity as Gangadevi, daughter of Jangu Maharishi. She also reminded him the curse of Lord Brahma and the request of Ashtavasu. She also said that their eigth son will be glorified by everyone and requested him permission to leave the Kingdom. Chandhanu was very confused, so he asked her about the curse of Vasishtar and also the reason for the life of eigth son. Answering to his question, Gnagadevi revealed the truth. Vasishtar is the son of Lord Varuna and he was doing his meditation in the mountain Meru. He also had a cow named Nandhini. One day Ashtavasu and their wives went to that mountain. The wife of Prabhasan, one of the Ashtavasu became very fond of the cow and wished to own that. So the Ashatvasu grabbed that cow without the knowledge of Vasishtar and went away. When he came to know about this, he cursed them to be born as humans in Earth. On knowing this Ashtavasu returned the cow and requested him to take the curse back. But vasishtar said that, except prabhasan others will be relieved soon from the curse. Prabhasan will live in the Earth for a long time with all glory but he would be unattached from the marriage life. Gangadevi told this to Chandhanu , she took their last son and promised to return him to chandhanu during the teenage and she left.

Chandhanu & Gangadevi

Chandhanu was born and he learned all the great skills at his teen age. One day, King Pradeep told him the wish of Gangadevi and told him to accept her when she comes. Later on, he made Chandhanu as the king and left the Kingdom to meditate and attain peace. The king Chandhanu was very fond of hunting. One day he went to the forest for hunting and saw a beautiful lady(Gangadevi) coming in that way. Both of them liked each other and Chandhanu expressed his love for her. She accepted but had few conditions for marriage. The conditions were:
1.Gangadevi should not be questioned for her activities.
2.Chandhanu should not question her as Why?

Though Chandhanu had confusions, he accepted these conditions and promised not to question her on any occasion due to the unconditional love he had towards Gangadevi. They got married on an auspicious day and lived happily for years. Then, Gangadevi gave birth to a son and she threwed him at the river ganga. Chandhanu was shocked to see this but, he kept quiet due to the promise he had done.Gangadevi threw her seven sons into the river ganga as soon as they were born. Though Chandhanu was very worried and hurt by her activities, he did not question her. Finally , eighth son was born and Gangadevi went to threw him in the river.

E1.BIRTH OF CHANDHANU

The great story Mahabharatham was written by Vyasar in Sanskrit. It has around 1,20,000 poems. It was translated into tamil by Villiputhurar. The King Mahabishak ruled the world and the people were happy during his period of reign. Due to the charity and kindness he showered on the people, he went to the heaven after his death. He met Lord Brahma and saw the river ganga was standing in the shape of a girl . The king was attracted by her beauty and stared at her. Gangadevi(The river Ganga) also liked the king but she did not express it. On seeing this, Lord Brahma cursed the king that he will reborn in the Earth again as the son of King Pradeep, suffer alot and then return to heaven. In the meanwhile, Gangadevi on her way back met Ashtavasu(Eight sons of Prajapathi). They were cursed by vasishtar that they will be born as humans in the Earth,so they wished Gangadevi to be their mother. And also they wanted the son of King pradeep, Chandhanu to be their father. On hearing this , Gangadevi was happy but the ashtavasu requested her to throw them in the water as soon as they were born. Gangadevi accepted their request but on one condition that she will not throw the last son into the water. He will remain as the son of Chandhanu and Gangadevi in the Earth. The Ashtavasu were happy on her decision and they left. One fine day, King pradeep was doing his meditation on the Gange river bank. Gangadevi appeared before the king and told him that she wishes to be the wife of his son. The king also granted the same. As per the curse of Lord Brahma, the King Mahabishak was born as the son of King Pradeep and they named him as Chandhanu.

Two Great Stories

The two great ancient stories of India are Ramayanam and Mahabharatham. These two epic stories have a great impact on the Indian culture. Ramayanam, the story which revolves around describing the qualities needed between husband and wife and also describes the soulful relationship among the brothers. On the other hand in Mahabharatham , the misunderstandings and the hatred among the brothers lead to a great war in the Indian history known as Kurukshetra War. There was a huge loss in those 18 days of war. And in the starting of the war, Krishnan preached divine thoughts and gave advice to Arjunan, one of the Pandavas. It is also known as Bhagavad Geethai, one of the most respected texts in the Hindu Religion. Ramayanam is written by Valmiki whereas Mahabharatham is written by Vyasar. Ramayanam teaches people how to live united and share bonding in the family. Contrast to it, Mahabharatham shows us the evil side of life when there is no unity among us. But it doesn’t mean Mahabharatham doesn’t teach anything. Both stories teach us the life lessons.

Bus Travel

Bus travel – One of the most hated transportation system by the hostel students in college. Because we suffer a lot during the peak hours, weekends and festival times. That 5 minutes in which we rush into the crowd in bus stand and enter the bus is the most hated time. Most of the times we don’t get a seat and if we get a seat , people will use us a bag collector. And the lucky people are those who get a window seat with a headphones, that’s a pleasant journey which everyone carves for. But all those hatred, annoying moments are only till we reach the bus stop. Once we reach the hometown, we forget the difficulty experienced in bus and become the most happiest person on seeing our home. All we do is to curse the driver and conductor till we return to college. And this process continues.

Fear and Failure

Failure- One word that panics everyone in the world. All have fear about failing in a job or life. But no one realizes that failure is the driving force towards success.

If a child fears to get up,  it cannot walk.

If a student fears to go to school, it cannot be educated and become knowledgeable.

If an employee fears about the interview, he/she cannot get a job.

If a mother fears about the labor pain, she cannot give birth to her child.

If a father fears about taking a decision in his career, he cannot feed his family.

So, if we fear then we cannot succeed in our life. Overcoming the fears of life helps us to think and make good decisions in life.

Don’t fear. Take risks. Enjoy the life.
